New Material Handling System
Posted by andrea on Jul 22, 2011Following much planning, consultation and negotiation, Plastic Bottle Supplies partnered Motan Limited to create a complete new central vacuum and material handling system in their facility.
The new mixer and central vacuum system will transfer material around the facility more efficiently, and will enable PBS to run white, natural & coloured materials at the same time. The new layout will mix natural, white & coloured materials automatically, ensuring consistent colours in production.
The project has involved substantial investment, with a new self contained mixing area, a new mezzanine floor, and a new cyclone system for the handling of recycled material.
The project was completed in just 1.5 days, keeping disruption to a minimum. A huge “thank you” to all the Plastic Bottle Supplies Team who were involved. This was a huge result, and PBS is already starting to reap the rewards of this major project.
